On the 17th of June 2022 at 11:00 in the Big hall of National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was shown the feature length historical documentary film "Uykydagy arudyn oyanuy" based on the book of national writer of Kazakhstan, state and public figure, the Hero of Labor Abish Kekilbayev.
Director of the National Library of Kazakhstan Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kairbekovna and producer of the film Oralbek Sarybasov made greetings at the event.
Having studied the sacred history of Mangystau and relying on real data, Abish Kekilbaevich collected the richest legends and events of the region in the book.
The feature-length documentary film created as part of the "Rukhani Zhangyru" program based on the book of the great sage will help to reveal the interest of young people in the source book. In the film about 60 objects were filmed in RAW format. It shows the harsh and ascetic nature of the Mangystau region, historical monuments, trade routes. Archival data, research scientists, archaeologists, historians, travelers were used in the preparation. On the 12th of September 2021 at the ninth International Film Festival in India the film "Uykydagy arudyn oyanuy" was adjudged the best among the works of 40 countries of the world. Oralbek Sarybasov, director-producer, Akbobek Tulzhan, cameraman Aidos Turtayev were recognized as the best in corresponding nominations.
