There at the National library of the RK is organized the permanent book exhibition named “Kazakstan kakharmandary: keshe zhane byugin”, dedicated to this year – “The year of children in Kazakhstan”.

The purpose of the exhibition is to acquaint the growing generation with the unique merits of the heroes of Kazakhstan, the heroic feats in the defense of the Motherland,in the cause of the provision of security of the life of the citizens and in the name of freedom and independence of Kazakhstan. And also the acquaintance with the nationalism, morality, patriotism and the popularization of the youth to the deep understanding , evaluation of the history, the veneration of our spiritual values.

“Khalyk kakharmany” is the title given to the persons who showed the civil and military valience and for the outstanding merits on the way to freedom and independence of the country. The title “Khalyk kakharmany” was fixed the law in 1993. There to the persons entitled the title of “Khalyk kakharmany” is given the badge of especial recognition – “The golden star” and the Order of Motherland. 

There at the exhibition are presented the photo-albums, encyclopaedic reference editions and periodical publications, that highlight the works and feats of the citizens to whom there were awarded the title of “Khalyk kakharmany” of the RK. These are general of the army, the first minister of defence of the RK Sagadat Nurmaganbetov, the victim of the December insurrection Kairat Ryskulbekov, the veteran of the war Kasym Kaisenov, Hero of the Soviet Union, writer Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, the singer Roza Baglanova, the first cosmonaut of Kazakhstan Toktar Aubakirov, the cosmonauts Talgat Musabayev and Aidyn Ayimbetov, general of the army Mukhtar Altynbayev, the well-known kyuishy, composer Nurgisa Tlendiyev, academician Mukhtar Aliyev, the people’s artiste of Kazakhstan Azerbaidzhan Mambetov, the woman flier Khiuaz Dospanova and others.
