On November 18 there at National library of the RK within the framework of the celebration of the 30-th anniversary of Independence of the RK took place another work session of the Kazakhstani Library Union.

There in the activity participated the members of the Council of the KLU, the heads of the Departments of culture of the cities and regions, the chairman and the heads of the regional affiliates of the Kazakhstani branch professional union of the workers of culture, sport, tourism and information, the directors of the republican and regional universal libraries.

Director of National library of the RK B.K. Ospanova stopped upon the work of the Kazakhstani Library Union. The speech of the director of the National academic library of the RK Munalbayeva U.D. was dedicated to the carrying out of “The year of support of children’s and youth’s reading in Kazakhstan”.

The chairperson of the Kazakhstani branch professional union of the workers of culture, sport, tourism and information Imankulova S.K. raised the topical issues, pertaining to the library sphere: the labour relations, legislation, social protection of the workers, the raising of the salary etc.

The councilor of the Pavlodarskiy regional affiliate of the Professional union of the workers of culture, sport, tourism and information of Kazakhstan N.A. Kayirdenova narrated about “the issues for countering corruption in the establishments of culture of Kazakhstan”, the anticorruption politics.

The head of “Stellazhi” Company Ltd. A.G. Suponin shared his thoughts by the theme: “About the modernization of the regional libraries through the highly-technological equipment”. There spoke the head of the Karagandinskiy regional Department of culture Zhumakenov E.K., who shared his opinion about the achievements of the libraries of the region.

Director of National library of the RK B.K. Ospanova in the solemn atmosphere awarded the Kostanayskaya regional universal scientific library after L.N. Tolstoi, which was acknowledged to be the victor of the annual republican competition “The best reading region” in 2020, and also with the title “Librarian of the year 2021” – of director of the Western-Kazakhstani regional universal scientific library after Zh. Moldagaliyev Urazayeva Sholpan Kuanyshkaliyeva  and handed to them the special prizes.
