There in the hall for scientific workers after U.M. Sultangazin of the Service «Kazakstan kitaptary» is organized the book exhibition «Munai-khimiya salasynyn akademigi», dedicated to the 90-th anniversary of the Kazakhstani scientist, chemist, doctor of chemichal sciences, professor, academician of the AS of the Kazakh SSR, honored figure of science of the Kazakh SSR Nadir Karimovich Nadirov.
Nadirov Nadir Karimovich was born on January 6, 1932 in the village of Kikach of the Nakhichevanskiy district of the Azerbaidjanskaya SSR, in 1937 together with his relations and family he was deported to the Djambulskaya region of Kazakhstan. In 1948 he finished the Kazakh secondary school after N.K. Krupskaya of the Talasskiy district.
In 1953 he graduated from the chemical-biological faculty of the Kzyl-Ordinskiy state pedagogical institute after N.V. Gogol. In 1956-1959 – the post-graduate student of the Moscow state pedagogical institute after V. Lenin. In 1959 he defended the dissertation by the theme: «The methodology of teaching speed and equilibrium of chemical reactions in the secondary school». The doctoral dissertation by the theme «The research of natural sorbents of Siberia, Far East and mingled catalizers for the rafination and hydrogenation of the soya oil» he defended in 1967 at the Kazakh state university after S.M. Kirov.
For the first time in his two-volume monograph «Oil and gas of Kazakhstan» there are complexly characterized the history and the state of the oil-gas branch, there is given the characteristics of the oil and gas of the deposits of Kazakhstan. The authoritative organizer of the science and the system of higher education, he is the mentor of 12 doctors and more than 50 candidates of technical, chemical, physical-mathematical, biological, economic, pedagogical sciences. Under his editorship there were published 43 collections of scientific works and materials of the conference. He received the international acknowledgement as «The father of the oil science of Kazakhstan», the creator of his own scientific schools: physical-mathematical, of oil processors, catalyzing specialists, oil-chemical.
- Nadirov led the great public work. He was elected member of the Scientific council for oil-chemistry and catalysis of the AS of the USSR, member of the editorial board and deputy chief editor of the journal «The herald of the AS of the KazSSR», member of the editorial board of the journal «The news of the AS of the KazSSR». From 1996 to 2003 Nadir Karimovich was president of the Association of the Kurds of Kazakhstan «Barbang». Awarded with the orders of the Labour Red Banner, «Kurmet», the medals «For valorous labour».
The book exhibition «Munai – khimiya salasynyn akademigy» reflects the materials about the life and activity of the scientist on the pages of the encyclopaedias, biographical reference books, acquaints the reader with his scientific-pedagogical activity. Nadir Karimovich is the author of more than 1200 scientific works and the eight scientific discoveries, 31 monographs, 10 study manuals; he is the owner of more than 250 patents and author’s certificates for inventions. There among the most well-known ones – the series of collective monographs: «The chemical equilibrium and principles of its mixing» (1996), «The new petroleums of Kazakhstan and their use» (8 books, 1979-1987). «The oil bituminous rocks» (5 books, 1982-1988) was published as a monograph in Kazakhstan and Canada (in the English language). «The high-viscous petroleums and natural bitumins» (5 books, 2001), «The petroleum and gas of Kazakhstan» (the monograph in 2 volumes, 1996). Highly estimated are the publicistic monographs of the scientist: «We, the Kurds-Kazakhstanis» (2003) and «Difference in time, or the historical turns: the exam for honesty» (2008).
The purpose of the book exhibition is the popularization and acquaintance with the life, scientific, public and pedagogical activity of N. Nadirov, who made a huge contribution into the development of the chemical branch of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
