On November 26 the workers of the Service of restoration, conservation and binding of National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the online format in the conference “The problems of preservation and restoration of written heritage in Kazakhstan”, carried out by the National centre of rare books and manuscripts (Nur-Sultan city).   

There with the report by the theme: “On the work of the Service of restoration, conservation and binding of National library of the RK and the prospect of development” spoke the head of the Service, candidate of science (chemistry) Sarsenbayeva B.Sh.

The conference is dedicated to the issues of preservation and conservation of documentary written heritage. There in the conference participated representatives of the archives, museums and libraries of Kazakhstan. There were touched upon the topical issues for the use of the materials, acquisition of conservation-restoration equipment, the personnel problems etc. There were carried out 3 virtual master-classes in the restoration of documents.
