On May 29, 2020 the specialists of the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the international online-seminar “The bibliographical activity in the digital space”, organized by the National academic library of the RK with the support of the Ministry of culture and sport of the RK.

There at the work of the online seminar were considered the theoretical and practical trends of bibliographical activity in the digital space, the issues of inculcation of new forms within the organization of informational-bibliographical servicing of users in modern conditions, the reference online-services, the creative possibilities of using the reference-bibliographical works and bibliographical information.

The moderators of the online-seminar were Munalbayeva U.M. – director of National academic library of the RK, Ospanova B.K. – director of National library of the RK, Nazyrova S.S. – head of the service of administration of electronic resources of the National academic library of the RK.

There at the opening of the online-seminar with the word of introduction spoke director of National library of the RK B.K.Ospanova. the specialists of the National library of the RK made the reports: head of the Service of National bibliography Saidembayeva A.Sh. with the report “National bibliography in the electronic era: the new trends of development” and the head of the Service of informational resources Sydykzhanova F.U. with the report “The electronic resources of National library of the RK and current bibliography”. In their speeches they shared information about the work for the formation and development of national bibliography, about the fundamental retrospective and recommendational bibliographical indices on the history, literature and art of Kazakhstan, prepared by the bibliographers of National library. They also told the people about the electronic resources of the library, the work for the formation of electronic libraries, electronic catalogues, bibliographical and full-text data-bases. The electronic resourcesare an inseperable part of the fond of the libraries and they play an important role in the satisfaction of different informational requirements of users, in the study processes, scientific-research work etc.

There at the online-seminar also spoke: Balatskaya N.I., head of the group of region-study bibliography of the Department of bibliography and region-study of the Russian National library (Saint-Petersburg) and the specialists of the regional libraries of the republic.
