On January 27, 2020 at 11:00 hours there at the National library of the RK will take place the opening of the photo-exhibition “The incredible India: the charming multiform culture”, organized by the Embassy of India in Kazakhstan, and also the book exhibition “The pearl of India” from the fond of National library of the RK.
The photo-exhibition consists of the four main divisions:
The festivals of India. The people in India like to celebrate different holidays and organize picturesque festivals. The unique atmosphere of the East leaves its imprint upon the organization of the Indian holidays, and the local colorful atmosphere guarantees a lot of unforgettable impressions and positive emotions to the people who managed to be in the very midst of holiday activities. Many Indian holidays have their roots, traditions, their celebration in the ancient times. India has the long tradition of celebrating festivals during the whole of the year. Thus, they celebrate the coming of the spring “The holiday of Holy”, the victory of good over evil, the festivals of fire etc. There are many Indian festivals and celebrations the most interesting of which are presented upon the photo-exhibition.
The places of cultural heritage of India. 38 objects from the register of the World heritage are situated in India. 30 objects are included into the list through the cultural criteria, 7 objects by the natural ones, 12 objects are acknowledged as masterpieces of the human creative genius, 3 objects are acknowledged as natural phenomena or the spaces of exclusive natural beauty and aesthetical importance. As for 2019 42 objects on the territory of the state are in the list of candidates for the inclusion into the list of the World heritage. This is the Fort in Agra, the Caves of Adjanta, Ellora, the Castle of the Sun in Konarak etc. these places are pleasing for the eye and open your consciousness for the perception of culture and history of the country.
The animal world of India. The animal world of India consists from the striking group of animals from Europe, Asia and the ancient continent of Gondwana, collected together on the wonderful mixture of different natural habitats – from the luxuriant mangrove quagmires to the desolated sand deserts and the icy Alpine pastures. Being the place of habitation for many charming animals, India possesses one of the most varied faunas in the world. India is most known through its “firm” animals – the elephants, tigers, monkeys, leopards, antilopes and rhinoceroses.
The brides of India. The Indian culture is known to the whole world through its beauty. Let it be the North, South, East or West of the country, each part has its unique bridal rituals and the brides dress up in a special way. India is the country known by its weddings because the people in India believe that the bridal ties exist during the seven lives.
Out of the fond of National library of the RK and the Book corner of India there is also organized the book exhibition “The pearl of India” upon which there are presented the Indian literature in the Kazakh, Russian, English languages and the languages of Hindi and Urdu.
There at the opening of the photo-exhibition will participate: the ambassador of India in Kazakhstan Mr. Prabhat Kumar, the consul of the General consulate of India in Almaty city Martin Cyriac Clemense, director of the specialized school-lyceum №92 after M.Gandhi Erulan Asentayevich Zhienbayev, teachers and students of the colleges and universities of Almaty city, workers and readers of the library.
