On October 4, 2019 there in the hall after N.Dauletova of National library of  the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Ministry of culture and sport of the RK by the assignment of the Committee of linguistic policy took place the session of the Orthographical group (further – Orthographical group), created under the National commission for the transference of  the alphabet of the Kazakh language onto the Latin script named “The approval of the new spelling: the significance and tasks for interested organs” of the National scientific-practical centre “Til-Kazyna” after Shaisultan Shayakhmetov.

The purpose of the seminar is the analysis of the spelling of arguable orphograms before the approval of the main principles of the orphography of the Kazakh language, the carrying out of its expertise, the correction and perfection in the light of the New rules of spelling, elaborated on the basis of the new alphabet.

The moderator at the activity was the executive director of the National scientific-practical centre “Til-Kazyna” after Shaisultan Shayakhmetov Erbol Tleshov.

The first one to speak at the seminar was chairman of the Committee on linguistic policy of the Ministry of culture and sport of the RK Galymzhan Meldeshov.

There in the seminar participated the heads of the Committee on linguistic policy, the workers of the National scientific-practical centre “Til-Kazyna”, the members of the Orthographical group. In the course of the seminar there were discussed the changes in the last variant, prepared in the course of the consideration of the orthographical rules from June 27 to 29, 2019; also those present listened to the reports of the members of the orthographical group and the specialists on spelling. The results of the seminar will be sent to the Institute of linguistics after A.Baitursynov.
