Cataloger school was established on the basis of the National library of the RK.

The school is one of the methodical directions of the library's work, which contributes to the professional level of library specialists engaged in machine-readable cataloging of resources.

The purpose of the cataloger school - to acquaint students with the basic provisions and general rules of cataloging specific types of documents – books, notes, cartographic, visual materials and others, including electronic resources.

Practical classes are held in the automated library and information system Web-RABIS, developed by IT specialists of the National library of the RK.

Web-RABIS meets all library GOSTs and requirements of the communicative format, supports the organization and maintenance of an electronic catalog, scientific processing, forms and prints library, accounting reports and statistical forms on the main indicators of the library.

The school conducts classes for specialists of libraries of various departments and systems (40 academic hours).

Upon completion of the course a certificate of completion is issued.
