The main trends:

  • The development of international and other library relations;
  • The formation of the positive image of National library of the RK;
  • The organization and participation in the work of international professional forums;
  • The establishment of partnership relations with the public, state and other organizations;
  • The organization of foreign business-trips;
  • The implementation of the activity of the press-service: the collection of publications, articles about library activities in the mass-media, social networks for the formation of the positive image of the Library.

The main functions:

  • The elaboration and implementation of the joint projects with the international, governmental, public, professional, commercial organizations and diplomatic representations;
  • The widening of cooperation with the national and leading libraries of the world, other foreign and Kazakhstani establishments and organizations;
  • The preparation and provision of foreign business trips;
  • The carrying out of the works for the participation of the National library in the international activities;
  • The implementation of the coordinating activity with the services of the National library by the issues of foreign relations;
  • The sending out of the informational-analytical materials by the requests of the mass-media, the organization of the press-conferences, the wide-spreading of the press-releases, the placement of the photo-materials, the informational provisions of the social networks, the carrying out of the news’ ribbon.

The External Relations and Image Work Service was created in 2019. The task of the Service is the provision of the consolidation of all the external contacts of the Library, assistance for

the widening and deepening of the integration of the Library into the international library-informational space, the formation of the positive image, the strengthening of the public opinion, the establishment of the relations with the public and the widening of the influence of the Library upon the public processes. There in the structure of the Service is implemented the activity of

the press-service: the information and wide-spreading of the publication in the mass-media, in the social networks about the activity of the Library.

As for today the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan cooperates  with the partners around the whole of the world – they are the foreign National libraries, and also establishments, organizations of culture , science and education.
