An evening meeting with the Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Library Union, holder of the Order of “Kurmet”, excellent student of culture Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kairbekovna was held in the city scientific and universal library named after Al-Farabi in Shymkent.

We welcomed the master of library science with the dedication of the library employee, aitysker poet Meirzhan Zhakup.

The meeting was attended by the head of the fund replenishment service of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Izambekova Kanshaim Mussakyzy, senior researcher of the Turkestan Regional Museum of local lore, archaeologist Yerzhigitova Aisulu Askarkyzy, M. Auezov associate professor, cultural scientist, Ph. D. Zhienbekova Ainur Abdrakhmanovna and heads and employees of Shymkent city libraries.

During the evening, Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kairbekovna, who has been working in the library industry for 45 years, answered the questions of librarians and told about her career.

The participants of the evening were shown a documentary film about Bakhytzhamal Ospanova, filmed by the TV channel «El ARNA» on the topic « The Line of Fate».

Library staff Aigerim Aldabergenova, Aidynai Payzhanovna and Pazyl Sanat read poems about the library and librarian, Dinara Turmakhanova sang ASEM.

At the end of the evening, librarians who have worked in the library industry for many years and achieved success were awarded with badges of the Kazakhstan library Union «Excellent librarian», «Veteran of library science», «Honorary librarian of Kazakhstan» and special letters of thanks.
