On May 29, 2024, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a ceremony of awarding departmental awards on the occasion of the Day of Culture and Art Workers.

The award was presented by the Chairman of the Committee of Archives, Documentation and Book Business of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rustam Ali.

The medal «Enbek ardageri» of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded to: Ospanova Bakhytzhamal Kairbekovna, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Zhumabekov Makhsut Tainovich, Deputy director of the Republican library for blind and visually impaired citizens.

The badge «Madeniyet salasyn uzdigi» of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded to employees of the National State Book Chamber: Ongarbekova Saule Zhandosovna and Saduakasova Patima Zhailaubekova, as well as Akbasov Isagalym Usembayuly, an employee of the «Almaty-Bolashak» publishing house.

Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ospanova Bakhytzhamal Kairbekovna and Director of the National State Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan Koytanov Adil Kazenbaevich рresented congratulations at the event.

Almaz Amirbekuly Myrzakhmetov, Head of the Book Business Department of the Committee of Archives, Documentation and Book Business of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, spoke about upcoming projects in the field of books, archives and publishing in the country, touched upon the problems of copyright and strengthening ties between publishers and writers, as well as the establishment of the National Book Day and its significance.
