The exhibition «Kazakhstan Republikasy Ulttyk gylym akademiyasyn Khabarshysy» dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the scientific journal «Bulletin of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan» was organized in the hall of periodicals.

The journal was established in 1944 as the «Bulletin of the Kazakh branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences». In 1946, it was renamed the «Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR».  In 1991, it was renamed the «Bulletin of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan».  

It is included in the List of scientific publications recommended by the Committee for Control in the field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the publication of the main results of scientific activity.

The journals «Bulletin of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan» publish scientific articles and notes, express reports on the results of research in various fields of natural, technical and social sciences. Articles are posted on the journal's website in one of three languages to choose from, annotations are required in three languages.

The purpose of the journal is to highlight the latest achievements in the field of social sciences, disseminate scientific information, and attract new authors of the last century.   

The journal received international recognition back in the sixties of the twentieth century, and entered the international register of highly rated scientific journals. Today, the journal enters the major national libraries of 73 foreign countries – the USA, Great Britain, Germany, France, Japan, etc.

The authors of the journal are prominent scientists of Kazakhstan, the editorial board of the journal includes academicians and corresponding members not only of the Republic of Kazakhstan, but also of all CIS countries, as well as outstanding foreign scientists.

The exhibition «Kazakhstan Republics Ulttyk gylym akademiyasyn Khabarshysy» presents the journals «Bulletin of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan» for different years and materials published on the pages of periodicals from the fund of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
