From November 14 to 16, the head of the Restoration, Conservation and Binding Service of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, coordinator of the Central Asian Regional Center IFLA/PAС, Ph.D. Sarsenbayeva Botakoz Shagalievna took part in the seminar of the Asia-Pacific region held in Bangkok (Thailand), where she made the presentation at the UNESCAP site on the role of libraries and information in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, proposed by the UN in Kazakhstan.

The workshop was aimed at creating strong and sustainable library institutions at the local, national and regional levels in support of sustainable development and further dissemination of IFLA proposals in Asia and Oceania. As the strong and professional IFLA is the key factor in helping communities to build the better world.

The seminar was attended by 50 specialists from 33 countries of Asia and Oceania.
