On November 16, 2018 in the Hall of N. Dauletova. N. Dauletova held an evening of memory dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the writer, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, actor and director Shaim Shavaev.
Shaim Shavaev was born on April 27, 1938 in Tegermen village of Uigur region. He worked as a stage director, then as a director at the Republican Uigur Theater. In 1978-1982 worked as a literary adviser at the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, head of the Uigur literature section, senior adviser at the society "Kazakteatr". Shavayev's first book "To Young Friends" was published in 1961.
In addition, in 1969, his prose works were published in the collection "Karapaiym kisiler". The books "Unsigned Letters" and "Colored Skullcap" were published. The plays "Your black eyes" (1975), "My brother's marriage" (1977) and drama "Bilal Nazym" (1981) were staged in the Republican Uyghur theater. Shavayev translated several works by Kazakh and Russian writers into the Uighur language.
Poet Ayan Nysanalin, writer Zeynep Akhmetova, head of "Intizar" magazine Aznat Talipov, poet Rahilam Muppparova and Shaim Shavaev's wife Roza Shavaeva took part and spoke at the event. Malik Makhmandinov, the head of the Uigur editorial office of "Atamura" corporation, was the moderator of the event.
A book exhibition about the life and works of Shaim Shavayev was organized in the framework of the event.
