The book exhibition "Bauyrzhan aleminin umbeti" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the poet, writer and candidate of philological sciences Mamytbek Kaldybai was organized in the reading room "Kazakstan kitaptary".

Mamytbek Kaldybai was born in 1939 in the village of Kyzyl zhalau in Tolebi district of South Kazakhstan region. He graduated from a vocational technical school in Chimkent (1956), the Faculty of Philology of the Chimkent State Pedagogical Institute (1963).

He began his career as a school teacher in Korday district of Zhambyl region.  In 1970-1978, he worked in the Almaty regional newspaper "Zhetysu", in 1980-1982. - Has worked in the republican magazine "Madeniet zhane turmis" (nowadays "Parasat"), in 1980-1996. - From 1980 to 1996 he was a lecturer at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a lecturer at the Kazakh State Academy of Sport and Tourism.

  1. Kaldybai is the author of numerous poems: "Kopir" (1974), "Kanat kakty" (1974), "Aina" (1977), "Akzhayik aeunderi" (1979), "Zholdar shakyrady" (1983), stories and novels: "Ol nege uyaldy? (1976), "Merey" (1978), "Ay tuyp keledi" (1981), novels "Bandibek baba armani" (1995), "Zhorga mingen zholaushy" (2014), "Baba atanyn urpaktary" (2017), "Bekasyl aulye" (2001). The author of memoirs, essays and short stories about the legendary hero of Kazakhstan, the famous Kazakh writer Bauyrzhan Momyshuly: "Umytylmas kezdesuler", "Men halkymnyn Bauyrzhanymin", "Atak Pen Shatak" and others.

At the book exhibition "Bauyrzhan aleminin umbeti" from the collection of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan are presented works of M. Kaldybai, his articles on the pages of the periodical press.
