On October 1, 2019, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting with retired colleagues in the E. Tursynov Hall, dedicated to the International Day of the Elderly.

At the meeting, the Holy Quran was recited in memory of the staff of the institution who had passed away. They worked tirelessly in their time for the benefit of the library, which is one of the centers of spirituality of the nation.

Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kairbekovna made a congratulatory speech and expressed her warm wishes to those present. The head of the institution also told about the work of the National Library in the light of the requirements of the time, the achievements of the staff and introduced the deputy directors, heads of the library services to those present.

Guests of honor were Ismailov Yedilkhan Ismailovich, Kabdoldina Kulyash Ayazbekovna and Mametova Ayman Kanatovna, who made a significant contribution to the development of the National Library. The public figure, holder of the orders "Kurmet", "Parasat" Tshanov Amalbek Kozybakovich, professor Islam Zhemeney, Kazakh radio announcer Amanzhan Ensebaev and other distinguished guests expressed their deep gratitude to the staff of the library.

The event included performances by Kazakh art masters Kanat and Aitkul Kudaibergenovs, Kenzhebek Zhanabilov, Mels Sagatuly, the star couple Kairat and Zhuldyz, the soloist of the "Alatau" traditional art theater Zhasulan Musagaliyev and other famous singers, who gave the guests a great mood with their performances.

At the end of the event the guests were invited to a festive dastarkhan.
