On the 1st of June in N. Dauletova hall of the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held the presentation of two books "Talanttan-tagylym" and "Yel degende-yelgezek" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the famous poet, translator, critic, laureate of the International literary prize "Alash", gentleman of the order "Kurmet" Kuanyshbay Kurmangali.

Kuanyshbai Kurmangali is a famous writer, who made a significant contribution to the development of the press and publishing industry of the country, poetry of Kazakh literature, the genre of literary criticism and the development of the translation industry. He was born on the 1st of June 1942 in the village Auliekol (former Semiozernoe), Kostanay region. Until the last days of his life he worked as head of the department and a member of the board of "Zhas Alash"; in the magazine "Akikat" as executive secretary and deputy editor-in-chief; chief editor of the magazine "Zhalyn". He worked as a department head at the main editorial office of the Kazakh Encyclopedia, chief specialist of the World Association of Kazakhs and editor-in-chief of "Yel" publishing house.

K.Kurmangali was also vice-president of the Kazakh Academy of Education named after I. Altynsarin, director of the Republican printing office, and general director of the Scientific Publishing Center "Gylym". K. Kurmangali is the author of "Arman araly", "Kosh, kalkatay", "Konir kuz kumbiri", "Adebiet alemine sayakhat", "Auliekol auenderi", "Akikat aynasi" and translations "Doctor Chekhov" by B. Shubin, "Zhumyr zherdin perzenti" by V. Sevostyanov, G. Anisimov, "Chokan" by I. Strelkov, "Omir otkelderi" from Baltushist, "Bovary hanym. Bouvard and Pecushe" from H. Flaubert. Shubin, "Zhumyr zherdin perzenti" by V. Sevostyanov, G. Anisimov, "Chokan" by I. Strelkov, "Өmir өtkelderi" from Baltushist, "Bovary hanym. Bouvard and Pecuchet" from H. Flaubert. He masterfully portrayed the face of his era with his literary reminiscences, literary portraits, and left behind an indelible legacy.

The event was opened with a greeting speech by Ospanova Bakytzhamal, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The moderator of the event was the poet, doctor of philological sciences, professor, deputy chairman of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Zhakyp.

Famous poets and writers: B. Nurzheke-Tuly, K. Segizbai, R. Kul-Mukhammed, T. Kopbaev, A. Kopishev, M. Kozhakhmetov, S. Balgabaev and the writer's granddaughter Aylin spoke at the presentation. The young readers of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan read poems and dedications of the poet.

A closing speech was made by his wife Kanshaim Izambekova, the head of the Receiving, Control and Acquisition Service of the National Library of Kazakhstan, expressing gratitude to all those present.

The book exhibition "Ultymyzdyn umytylmas kalamgeri" from the collection of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the life and work of the writer, was organized for the presentation. The writer's wife K. Izambekova presented 150 copies of the books "Yel Degende-Yelgezek" to the National Library, city libraries, libraries of higher education institutions and the participants of the presentation.
