The exhibition of scholars' scientific works was organized in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Kazakh enlightener, public and statesman, poet and scientist Akhmet Baitursynuly.

Akhmet Baitursynuly is a statesman, scientist, educator, poet, publicist, reformer of national writing, founder of Kazakh linguistics and literary criticism, one of the leaders of the national liberation movement "Alash" in the early 20th century.

He was born in Turgai district of Tosyn region. He was educated by the mullahs of his native village and in 1886 in Turgai two-class Russian-Kazakh school. After graduation he continued his studies at the four-class teacher's school of enlightener I. Altynsarin in Orenburg. In 1895-1909 he worked as a teacher in the Russian-Kazakh schools in Aktobe and Kostanay, and headed the city school in Karkaraly.

He began his political activity in 1905. He was one of the authors of the Karkaraly petition. In it he raised the questions of local government, court; changes in the system of public education; freedom of conscience and religion; adoption of new laws. He developed the scientific terminology for the definition of the Kazakh grammar. In 1913, together with the former deputy of the First State Duma A. Bukeykhanov and the writer M. Dulatov opened the newspaper "Kazakh" in Orenburg. The newspaper existed till 1918. It became the main national socio-political and scientific-literary publication. In 1917 he participated in the creation of the Kazakh party "Alash" and was one of the organizers and leaders of Alash-Orda government at two all-Kyrgyz (all-Kazakh) congresses in Orenburg. He created the manuals on the native speech, textbooks for the system of literacy, the illustrated primer "Alippe", which had several editions in 1920s.

The exhibition presents dissertations of Kazakhstan scientists in different fields of science: philology - O. Erkinbaev’s "Akhmet Baitursynulynyn "Adebyet tanytkyshy" XX gasyr basyndagy adebiettanu gylymynyn kontekstinde"; history - G.M.Turgarayeva "Akhmet Baitursynovtyn kogamdyk - sayasi zhane memlekettik kyzmeti (1872-1973)"; philosophy - K.N.Ashekeeva "Akhmet Baitursynovtyn filosofialyk kozkarastary"; pedagogy - K.T.Ybyraimzhanov's "Bastauysh mektep zhaily pedagogicalyk muralary"; philology - T. Oisylbay's "Akhmet Baitursynlynyn "Adebyet tanytkyshyndagy" soz oneri men poetika maseleleri" and others. The documents are exhibited in the open access mode.
