There in the reading hall after O. Zhandosov of the Service “Kazakstan kitaptary” of the Depositary of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan of Almaty city is organized the book exhibition “Birligymyz zharaskan Kazakhstan”, dedicated to May 1 – he Day of unity of the people of Kazakhstan.

The Day of unity of the people of Kazakhstan is the holiday of genuine patriotism, devotion to your country and the limitless love to the land of the forefathers. This holiday event embodies by itself the unity and agreement of the representatives of all the nationalities residing in the country and in the world.

The unity of the people has always been the highest destiny of any country during the whole history of mankind. 

Kazakhstan is the multinational country where in peace and agreement there live more than 150 nationalities and peoples. The peoples of Kazakhstan live peacefully, in mutual understanding and respect to the culture, traditions, rites of all the nations and ethnical groups. The holiday of the Unity of the people of Kazakhstan is designed to strengthen the relations, to make more open the dialogue between the representatives of different ethnoses, to demonstrate the achievements of the people that live in the country. 

The main task of all the activities which are held during this holiday day is to show the unity of the people of Kazakhstan: the holiday walkings, fairs, sport competitions, festivals, the shows of the representatives of the cultural centres, ethnical-cultural exhibitions, theatralized shows and performances of the pop-singers and musicians. The brightest moment of the holiday is the ethnical-cultural exhibition where there are demonstrated the articles of the clothes, the traditional things, embellishments which are characteristic for this or that people, and one can also taste the dishes of different national kitchen. There in the museums and libraries of the country are organized the exhibitions dedicated to the holiday and the peoples livingin Kazakhstan. The holiday not only acquaints one with the traditions and culture of other nationalities but is designed to consolidate the nation into the single one.

There upon the book exhibition “Birligymyz zharaskan Kazakhstan” are presented the materials dedicated to the friendship and cooperation of the ethnical groups of Kazakhstan, the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, the creation by the state of the conditions for the preservation and development of culture, traditions of all the ethnoses living in the country, out of the fond of National library of the RK.     

The purpose of the exhibition is the acquaintance of the readers with the history and modern life and also the popularization of the development of culture, traditions and art of all the ethnoses living on the territory of Kazakhstan.
