On March 16 there in the Hall of world literature took place the ceremony of donation of literature for the Book corner of Iran ar the National library of the RK from the General consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty city.

The Book corner was created in 2005 with the purpose of deepening the mutual understanding and strengthening of friendship between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Iran, assistance in the studying and information about the culture, history, economics and modern policy of Iran, the popularization of the classical and modern literature of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the coordination of joint efforts directed at the development of the cultural and economic links between the two peoples.

There at the present time the book fond of the corner numbers 603 copies of books and 82 copies of magazines. At the present day here is presented the literature of Iran in all branches of sciences in the English, Persian, Russian languages which is in open access in the Hall of world literature.

There to the Book corner of Iran were given over more than 148 copies, among them: the photo-albums of sight-seeing places, architecture and art of Iran, philosophy, history, children’s and modern literature. There with the word of greeting spoke: director of National library of the RK B.K. Ospanova, General consul of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty city Mr. Fagani Mokhsen. There with the video-review of the novelties of Iranian literature spoke Andrei Lukashev, candidate of science (philosophy), director for science of the Foundation of Ibn Sina. And also there by the General consulate of Iran in Almaty city was organized the exhibition of national meals “Novruz”.

The students of higher educational establishments of Almaty city read the verses of the authors of Persian poetry.

There within the framework of the activity was demonstrated the virtual exhibition “The Book corner of Iran”, in which there is reflected the activity of the Corner in different years.
