There in the reading hall of periodical editions is organized the exhibition “Uly dala bolashagy – Okiytyn ult”.

The most important element of culture and the instrument of heightening the intellectual potential, competitiveness of the nation is reading. The written sources of the past and the present (the books, magazines, the newspapers, the documents, the manuscripts) constitute the main space for the accumulation of information and knowledge, the wide-spreading of the historical and modern cultural experience. In the course of many centuries reading for many people remained the main form for spending leisure time, and even after the appearance of the radio, television and the Internet the books continue to remain the most important source of information. The support and development of reading is the all-national task, in the solution of which there participates the state and the whole of society.

From the very childhood reading discloses before us the wonderful pages of life. There in Kazakhstan the year 2022 is announced the Year of children.

The president Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev noted that to the children special attention is to be given especial attention. “The harmonious development and happy childhood of the growing generation is our all-national task,” – said the President.

The modern print editionshave had a long way of evolution. Today it is necessary to raise the status of reading, and also the formation of the high civil and spiritual-moral values of the growing generation. The future belongs to the youth.

There at the exhibition are presented the materials which popularize reading and address the literature from the fond of National library of the RK, articles from the magazines “AQIQAT”, “Kitap Patshalygy”, “Kazakstan patrioty”, “Madeniyet”, “Pioner” and others.
