From November 24 to 26 specialists of the Restoration, Conservation and binding service of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhurmanov D.E. and Nurgazy Sh.K. were trained in the basics of papermaking at the A.Kasteev State Museum of Art.

The master class was conducted by the handmade paper manufacturer Gangolf Ulbricht (Berlin, Germany).

Theoretical knowledge on the history of the appearance of paper in Asia and Europe was obtained, as well as practical lessons on the manufacture of Asian and European paper were conducted. The participants of  the master class were awarded certificates.
