On February 18, 2021, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the opening of documentary, exhibition and book exhibitions dedicated to The 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence.

The exhibition "Written culture of Kazakhstan in the flow of time: the history of writing and the revival of written monuments" is organized by the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Scientific and Restoration Laboratory "Island of Crimea" and is dedicated to the emergence and development of writing in Central Asia and Kazakhstan.

The exhibition and documentary exhibitions of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which will operate throughout the year, widely present books by Kazakh and foreign authors, revealing the achievements of the republic in the field of science and technology, international relations, economics and politics from the moment of independence to the present.

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition were: Director of the National library of the RK - B. K. Ospanovа, Director of Scientific Restoration laboratory "the Island of Crimea" Krym Altynbekov, Director of the Archive of the President of Kazakhstan – Аbdukadyrova D. Yu., Deputy Director of the International centre for the rapprochement of cultures under the auspices of UNESCO, Sydykov A. Zh., candidate of historical Sciences, Chief researcher of the Center for the rapprochement of cultures under the auspices of UNESCO Novozhenov V. A.

The event was attended by heads of archives, museums, scientific and creative intelligentsia, university teachers and students, mass media and librarians of the city.
