Between October 26-28, the specialists: A. Murtazaeva head of information and bibliographic department, A. Berdekova head of the sector for the reception and acquisition of funds, Sh. Zhumashova head of the reference and information sector from the Turkestani Regional Universal Scientific Library named after A.S. Pushkin are trained within the framework of the Cataloguer school, operating on the basis of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the three day courses, the librarians got acquainted with the work of the Information Resources Service and the Service of reception, control and acquisition of fonds. The practical lessons were held in 5 modules of the Web-RABIS software. Also, classes were conducted on international and national documents regulating the rules for compiling bibliographic records.

The participants were awarded certificates of completion of the three-day practical course "Web-RABIS Program: Automated Library Service".
