On June 25, 2020 there by the initiative of National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized the international online-meeting between the IFLA PAC Centre of Kazakhstan and Russia. There with the word of greeting spoke: Ospanova Bakytzhamal Kayirbekovna, director of National library of the RK (The Regional IFLA PAC Centre for Central Asia) and Kuzmin Pavel Leonidovich, acting director of All-Russian state library of foreign literature after M.I. Rudomino (the IFLA PAC Regional Centre for Eastern Europe).

The directors of the two large libraries of Kazakhstan and Russia noted the importance of international cooperation in the sphere of preservation and conservation of written documents. The IFLA PAC Centres demonstrated the video-rolls about their activity and presented the short-term and the long-term plans and the proposals for further cooperation.

National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the All-Russian state library of foreign literature after M.I. Rudomino are the participants of the IFLA Strategic programme for preservation and conservation (IFLA PAC). The libraries are united by the multi-year fruitful relations. In 2019 there was concluded the agreement on cooperation for the purposes of widening and further development of the professional relations and assistance for cultural exchange between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The exchange of professional experience in the sphere of conservation and restoration of documents are one of the most important purposes of cooperation between the libraries.
