On August 21, 2020 the archeologist Dilmukhamedov Oleg Eltokovich donated to the National library of the RK the rare editions: “The geographical and statistical pocket atlas of Russia” by A.F.Marks published in 1907 and “The atlas of the history of the USSR” of 1948.

There in the atlases are given the full informations about the population density, the linguistic and dialectical peculiarities, territory of the country, quantity of cattle and sheep, production capacities.

Oleg Dilmukhamedov is the author of many scientific articles, for many years he worked in the Central council for protection of cultural monuments and headed the republican aesthetical centre “Zhibek zholy”. At the beginning of the 1990-s he headed the international expedition under the leadership of UNESCO together with the Institute of archeology of the NAS of the RK for 25 years at the Kazakhstani part of the Silk way.

National library of the RK expresses sincere gratitude to Oleg Eltokovich for the editions.
