On January 30, 2020 there in the “Abai” literary centre of National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Ministry of culture and sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place the open lecture of the winner of the State prize of the RK, academician OrazalySabden “The thoughts aloud about the implementation into life of the studies of Abai.”

There with the word of greeting spoke the scientific secretary of National library of the RK, member of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan Zhunisbekov Bolat Zhunisbekuly.

The lecture on Abai studies took place within the framework of the explanation of the article of the President of the RK Kasym-ZhomartKemelulyTokayev “Abai and Kazakhstan in the XXI-st century”.

Academician OrazalySabden, comparing the dreams of Abai and the modern society, expressed their thoughts with the help of the slides.

The open lecture was carried out in the form of questions and answers, and among them:

• -Where is this world going to?
• -Who were we, who are we now, where are we going and what awaits us in the future?
• -At what level now are our spiritual values and how are we modernizing them?
• -What is the level of education and science, what impulse will we give them?

The participants asked different questions, including the critical ones, to which there were given exhaustive answers.

There in the activity participated the members of the youth association “Zhaskalam” of National library of the RK, the students of the colleges and universities of Almaty city, readers of the library and mass-media representatives.
